Rhyming

I've been on it since a baby.
Wowing the big kids and the ladies.
With my little boy charm.
And my Avies so shady.
I used to love to play.
Bop, twist, kiss, pull it.

Now repeat after me.
Simon says put your hand on red.
Put your hand on mine.
Lets read a story together before bed.
And nothing's gotta be said.
I got a bear named Ted.
And for you I'm willing to share.

So lets pretend I am the prince of a faraway land.
You are the princess who could never understand.
Why your parents always had to nag and reprimand.
When you just wanted someone to give you their hand.

Lets stand tall.
Fly away from it all.
As our parents call saying play time is over.
Yet we dont stall.
We just fly higher.
In the sky.
Put the fuel in the fire.

And when we tire from our play dream fantasies
We will come back to reality.
And face what comes.
Standing tall.
No fallacy.

*Avies: short for aviator sunglasses
